Back and working through the stash

Oh boy, things have been busy around here! Sorry it's been such a long time since my last post! Dylan and I bought a house this summer and things have finally quieted down a bit.  I'm still finding new inspiration in this new space. More photos of the house to come as things come together here!

Meanwhile, I'm picking up new hobbies and continuing with the old. Dylan and I have started running, completing a couple 5k races together this summer and fall. Though it takes a little time away from my crafting and art time, I'm excited for this new adventure!

Today I decided I would like to work through some of my stash making smaller items to give away to friends and family. At a certain point, how many more items can you make for yourself?

Below is a seed stitch headband using three plys of yarn, making for a chunky melange effect. Getting rid of three skeins at once!

Also, working on a pair of chunky mint armwarmers!

Looking Back

I love gathering together the gauge swatches I've made over a season. Each one represents a successful or unsuccessful project. Nevertheless, they are each here represented equally.

New Sweater and New Student

Things have been a little crazy around here lately! I just got back from LA and China this week for a work trip, and Dylan's been playing plenty of shows with his 3 bands.  One exciting development is that I now have a live-in crochet partner. Dylan has quickly picked up the basics and recently finished his first project, a simple crochet beanie.  As he was working on that, I crocheted along with him in the same pattern. A super simple unisex size beanie can be found here.

I have also finished my annual sweater project. This is a great stitch that ends up being super fast. Watch the video here!
